Dr. Mark Ritter, MD

The support staff at Methodist Sports is wonderful. I wish I could say the same for Dr. Ritter. I was sent to Dr. Ritter by another Methodist Sports ortho who was unsure about what to do after physical therapy and nsaids had failed and wanted a second set of eyes. Other than tell me there was nothing he could do and that I would need to modify my activities (I am a powerlifter and would need to give up the sport), Dr. Ritter didn't do anything or tell me what options were available. I know that there are surgical options available that could have been discussed because the ortho I had seen previously mentioned a couple of surgeries that were available but didn't want to go that route if another option was available. I am in pain doing ordinary daily activities and haven't trained in 4 months with no relief both facts that Dr Ritter knew. He didn't seem to care about my pain, or what my treatment goals were. He may be a brilliant surgeon but his treatment of patients as people needs… some work.

Outstanding physician

I had broken a knee skiing and was followed by Dr. Ritter. I was able to see him right away. I found him to be very clear in explanations of treatment and interested in my recovery. I have seen him since because of arthritis in both knees and together there is a treatment plan in place that I really like. I have referred family members to Dr. Ritter.
