Dr. Mark Edward Robinson

He was very helpful, listened to my issues and took time to go over what he thought my issues could be and was not. Unlike the previous Neuro-ophthalmologist I saw. I could tell he really wanted to help me get to the bottom of what was causing my eye pain.

I was referred to Dr. Robinson from a retina practice. I had to make several calls as my vision continued to deteriorate & no one from this practice called to give me an appointment date. After 2 weeks I phoned them & obtained an appointment. Half way through the exam, it appeared I was getting a repeat of vision tests that I had already had. Dr. Robinson admitted that he had not reviewed my records & just realized I was referred for optic neuritis. After several visits I was finally able to have an MRI ordered. The report showed that I had active demyelination similar to MS! I was not called by his office & in fact to add insult to injury Dr. Robinson stated that he had called the radiologist to really confirm the report. Dr. Robinson had first indicated that his diagnosis would be cataracts. possible glaucoma & dry eye! I was able to get a referral by another physician to a neurologist at Duke & within 20 minutes he confirmed I had Multiple Sclerosis. I was immediately taken to the… lab to rule out other possibilities & then on to begin immediate infusion therapy. As for Dr. Robinson, I would not recommend him to anyone! In fact another family member was recently referred to him and I urged her to cancel with this group immediately! I wouldn't let anyone I know (to include pets) be seen by this group or physician!
