Dr. Mark Lee Rodkey, MD

Terrible experience with Dr. Rodkey. Instead of treating my child, he decided to criticize our pediatrician and the pediatric hospital system we use for requiring vaccinations. Fever, vomiting, and dehydration in a 26 month old (who had already been to an urgent care same day and was not improving) Dr Rodkey disregarded the child’s mother (would only speak with grandmother), said he did not need to run any tests, did not rehydrate, and simply discharged. We are now having to travel back home to Fort Worth to see an actual trusted doctor. Nurse provided more help than him. “I don’t need to run studies, I’ve practiced for over 30 years, and I know what I see from my patients and experience.” Horrible bedside manner, entirely dismissive, and refused to run any tests. Our child likely has a bladder infection (THAT HE EVEN INDICATED IN DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS), but he never tested her for anything and simply discharged. We couldn’t get another doctor because he was only one on call.… I would NEVER recommend to send a child to see Dr Rodkey. Absolutely baffling. Seems to be a narcissistic anti-vaxxer that cares more about his opinion of himself than actually caring for his pediatric patients.

He is a horror

As a parent of a son with seizure disorders I have seen Dr. Rodkey many times in the ER. This Dr. has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to make sure all patients and parents are comfortable. This Dr. is very caring, kind, considerate and gentle
