Dr. Mark C Rose, MD

Dr. Rose saw me at Silverton Emergency Department, and was by far the worst I've seen, and I've had Cancer for the past 22 years, forcing me to see a LOT of doctors. To start with, the Hospital got me back to a room rather quickly, as it was late at night and there were very few people in the waiting room. Being led back to my room, I saw very few other patients in the Emergency Department. Despite this, It took an more then an hour before X-rays were performed, and another two or so hours before the doctor visited me. I initially came in for shoulder pain. Having been a cancer survivor, I advised the doctor of my history of necrosis (rotting tissue), that it was effecting both of my hip for the past year, and that my shoulder felt exactly like the pain, but worse off. He looked at me with a sense of bewilderment, either because he didn't know what I was talking about or didn't believe me. He examined my shoulder briefly, said I had shoulder pain and exited the room. Moments later… a nurse walked by and said "We're just waiting for the doctor to review your xrays", which thoroughly angered me. I called my PCP the next day, which took an additional two weeks to get an appointment. They immediately found an issue in the Ultrasound taken, and I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. Several weeks later, after an MRI, it was found that the necrosis had been crumbling the bone, which should have been apparent in the x-ray, which he apparently didn't look at. This doctor did was not prompt, was not courteous, did not listen to my concerns, didn't pay any attention to the tests that were performed, and misdiagnosed me. If you ever find him in your Emergency Department, go to a different hospital.

Dr. Rose doesn't seem to have any type of bed side manner. He is cut and dry with no regard to what you are experiencing. Mr. Rose in my opinion only cares to prescribe pills and I quote he only tells you there is no pill to help you. I feel that under his experience as a health care official he has only dealt with drug addicts and assumes we are in search of a quick fix. Rose is a product new age medicine. I feel he should be asked to take further examination for his field!
