Dr. Mark Rosse, MD

Some months ago, I contacted Dr. Rosse after the pharmacy refused to provide medication he prescribed for me. He simply declared that he could not override the pharmacy, and made no effort to resolve the situation. I was forced into a cold turkey withdrawal - a process that every doctor knows can have severe consequences. The resulting insomnia and other difficulties upended my life. I'll never forget how it felt being thrown under the bus by my own doctor.

So I went to see Dr. Rosse for about two years during the Covid era. He is best suited as a bridge practitioner. He does the job if you need a psychiatrist to renew prescriptions recommended by your previous psychiatrist. Because he has several patients (25) in any given day, don't expect any personalized attention or much in the way of bedside manners. Heck, he will not even check up on you unless you make an appointment. And many times, he is so "busy" that you cannot even schedule for weeks out. He is the epitome of inattentive and non-responsiveness even if you had an emergency. That situation is outside his grasp of knowledge. You are better served calling an ambulance. So if you need a refill, call Dr. Rosse, talk for a minute, and then go your separate ways. Now if you need a doctor to recommend new prescriptions, stay away from this guy like the bubonic plague. Given his complete non-existence except when you shell out money for services and schedule an… appointment, know that you are playing Russian roulette with your life if you heed his advice on any medicine. It truly is trial and error game show with your life and the host is Dr. Rosse. And if he prescribes poison, this is at your own risk to take. He has no clue what half these medicines do and the various side effects. He is an absolute affront to the medical practice and should have his licensed revoked if he recommends new medicines. It would clearly be societal justice if he retired that aspect of his service portfolio. So basically, what am I saying here? Avoid Dr. Rosse unless you cannot find any other available provider while you search for a new one and simply need a warm doctor's body to perform refill duties. Yes, this review is passionate but you really do not deserve anything but the truth when reading about this guy.

Dr. Rosse has always listened to what I have to say during my appointments. He makes good suggestions for my medicine and can back up his suggestions with info from studies. It's easy to get an appointment with him. I think he's very pleasant and overall does a great job.

Dr. Rosse is a rare doctor in the psychiatric field. I've needed medication management since I was a young child, and am now going on some 20 years of psychiatrist after general practitioner for a whole slew of medication regimens. He has been cognizant of my experiences within the mental health system and with different medications, empowering me to always make the final call on my care, and to ask questions and make suggestions as we progress. His experience within the psychiatric field with a focus on trauma has made him adept at navigating comorbidity, and the connection between mental and physical health. Mindfulness of side effects and a careful, slow process of building a regimen has also been very gentle on my system, even with being prone to severe side effects. Dr. Rosse has hands down been one of the best psychiatrists I've ever seen, and his care has pulled me from the pit of a deep mental health emergency within the first month of care, and away from the direction of… mental breaks a few times since. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Is not closely engaged in keeping up with prescriptions, retuning calls, or calling the pharmacist.

I felt that Dr. Rosse was quickly able to determine who I was as a person and patient, listened to my mental health history, and continues to work with me to monitor my medication. If you're looking for an overly warm and fuzzy doctor, he may not be a good fit. But if you're looking for a professional, knowledgable, proactive partner in your mental health, he's y ur guy.

I visited for the first time today to have him begin the session with a three minute tirade (eyes bulging, screaming at the top of his lungs) after which he opened the door and told me to exit the office. This man is CRAZY. I almost called the police- I wasn't sure what to do! I felt like I was in some surreal reality show and I was waiting for someone to come out with a camera explaining that it was all a joke! I am filing a complaint with the Maryland Medical Board.

I accompanied my son to an appt. This doctor gave him patently false, potentially dangerous information. I am writing a letter to the Maryland medical board and making an official complaint. He was angry, shaky and screaming and clearly on something himself. He needs his license revoked. Stay away!

Slander he is on drugs himself and should have his medical license taken away and I would recommend to the Maryland Department of health to take his license and had him take a P test
