Dr. Mark Fletcher Rotman, MD

I was a patient of Doctor Mark for many years, until I moved to Europe. He also cared for my daughter. When Dr Mark found out my daughter played the sax and had it in the car he insisted she go it and play for him. (She was 7 and just starting lessons)He encouraged her every appoint to keep playing. He always cares for the entire patient and not just the illness. He always took his time, didn’t dance around the bush, but also offered direct help on how to solve whatever issue we had. I loved him as our PCP!

Dr. Rotman made me feel extremely comfortable and important and in no way rushed. He listened and responded and explained the facts well to me. The office staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

My wife is in pain from a UTI. We called the doctors office twice this afternoon because it's Friday and she would need a refill or an updated prescription. His office dropped the ball and didn't call us back. The medical service in Fort Collins is deplorable. I love this city but coming from a larger city I am shocked at the overall service. Just a bunch of backwards azz people who don't care about anybody but themselves.

I contacted Dr. Mark Rotman about some odd and troubling symptoms I was having that could not be diagnosed by doctors in the remote location that I currently inhabit. The local denizens had no idea what I should do, so I asked my dentist, who I drive to Fort Collins to see. To avoid wasting everyoneâ??s time, I gained permission to send a letter to Dr. Rotman, explaining my symptoms and relevant history, to see if he had any ideas about what was troubling me. Instead of responding that he had no idea, he instead chose to attack me personally, stating that, â??You are not the kind of person we would care to become involved withâ??. My dentist was very amused when he read my letter and Dr. Rotmanâ??s reply, and decided he would no longer recommend Dr. Rotman. I then sent the same missive to Dr. Daniel Grossman, M.D., at Associates in Family Medicine in the big complex on Harmony Road, who said sure, come in for an examination. After the exam he said he thought he knew what the… problem was, but sent me to a neurologist. After the test results came back, Dr. Grossman said my symptoms were from migraine (including "migraine with aura"). Even though I did not have headaches per se, he informed me that migraine can affect people in various ways and this is what I had, but it was nothing to worry about. Case closed! No one can know everything, but a genuine scientist will openly admit when they simply donâ??t know something.

An excellent primary care physician for mature women. Knowledgeable,concerned,nonjudgmental. Excellent followup after visits.

I had been to a couple of doctors in the same practice because of horrible, excruciating back pain. Dr. Rotman was the ONLY doctor who really seemed concerned and didn't tell me to just go home and take some ibuprofen and do some exercises. He took the time to explain what he thought was happening to me. He wrote a prescription for a group of physical therapists that specialized in spinal care, and also prescribed medication to help me with the pain and anxiety I was having. I felt taken care of and it was such a relief. Well, come to find out, I ended up having a tumor on my spinal cord. I had to go to Associates in Family Med's urgent care because i lost function of my legs and it was after hours. Dr. Rotman heard about it and called to make sure I was doing okay. I've had a few follow-up appointments since the removal of my tumor and he is always very helpful and knowledgable. I highly recommend Dr. Rotman for his kind and gentle demeanor and his caring bedside manner.I… have to admit, it can be difficult getting an appointment to see him if it's urgent.

When I have my annual exam, I talk first about questions and concerns, then we have the exam and then after I get dressed again we talk about my plan and goals for the year. It never feels rushed. When we talk, it is face to face at a small table. I feel like we are partners in my health care. I get options and my opinions are respected.

Dr. Rotman has been our primary care doctor for about 18 years. His kids are just a little younger than mine, so he always seems interested in what they're doing. He's very personable and willing to listen to a worried mom. Once we were getting ready to go on a trip when one of my kids developed some worrisome symptoms. He ordered rushed tests so we could leave without being worried. He takes time to sit down, makes a point to chat a bit to check in. Must keep good notes, because he remembers what we talked about between visits. The practice is busy, which is the only reason I put slightly lower scores on the appt. stuf. One challenge: could you please please get email to where we could ask questions without having to wait for a nurse to call back, etc. That's pretty annoying, I know there are Hippa and liability issues re: emails, but other offices are figuring this out.
