The reviews on this site are nearly 8 years old. So, I thought I’d post my recent experience. Like so many others, I looked on Yelp and saw this guy had five star reviews. Found out the hard way that the reason behind most of them had to do with being told that you have no cavities. In my first visit, I had X-rays taken by the assistant, dental cleaning and fluoride treatment by the hygienist and a two minute visit with the dentist. He tells me that I have no cavities, and starts to rush away to the next patient. As he’s walking away, I try to tell him that I have a couple of teeth that are bothering me. He didn’t listen, just said “your doing great, no cavities.”About a week later, I went to another dentist who has better technology and 3 D xray. He actually did an oral exam too! I had a cavity and gum infection. Huntington Beach Dental Center is like a fast food restaurant seeing as many patients as possible, providing subpar care, and just filling their pockets. Every one is just a… set of teeth walking in. Make sure you get a second opinion if you have a tooth bothering you and are told that you have no cavities. Also, it’s a red flag that they have the hygienist do a cleaning before you are even examined by the dentist. Another red flag is that they claim to do certain procedures in their office, but they just refer you out. There are no oral surgeons or gum specialists (periodontist), they do not do oral screening or check for other mouth irregularities. Also, they use archaic methods of diagnosing with low quality X-rays.

Going to Huntington Dental is always a pleasure and a very comfortable experience. Dr. Sakabe and Liliana are very professional. Georgette is excellent and gentle when cleaning your teeth. Cheryl and Virginia handle everything in the office and remind you of your next appointment. Good people...

My husband and I have been patients here for 20 years. Our daughter has been going since she's had teeth to clean (and fill!). If you are looking for a great family dentist, this is the place.

The service was great, always so nice and courteous.
