Dr. Mark Anthony Salcone, MD

Dr. Salcone, did my gastric sleeve in 2014. He is an amazing person and Physician. He listens to every concern and he addresses them. He has bedside manner. He is very down to earth. I would definetly recommend him to anyone who is need of surgery.

Dr. Salcone performed bariatric gastric sleeve surgery on me in January, 2014. He was always informative, friendly in a professional manner, and dedicated to providing me the best care possible. He didn't sugarcoat the procedure or the necessity of my dedication to the "rules." He involved my husband in the decision-making process and explained in great detail the amount of dedication and support that I would need to make this procedure a success.

First, this website has wrong information: Dr. Salcone practices in New Jersey, not a Virginia. He is in Haddon Heights, NJ and is associated with Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center hospital. That being said, one could not ask for a finer doctor!! Dr. Salcone was my bariatric surgeon for my gastric sleeve, and what a fantastic job he did! I have barely any scarring whatsoever, and have lost over 75 pounds already in 4 months. I have never felt healthier or happier. When you go to his office, the wait time is only about 10 minutes at most. Otherwise, he is right on time to see you. His staff and nurses are respectful and kind, and are very knowledgable. They did almost all the insurance paperwork for me, and did everything in a very timely manner so I had approval quickly. Dr. Salcone himself is excellent in his patient care because he LISTENS, really and truly. He does not act like you don't know your own body. He instead acts like a partner in your healthcare along with you. He is… very patient, and does not rush you when you are telling him what's going on or asking questions. And every time I called the office with a question or problem, it was handled right away. I recovered excellently from my surgery, and even went back to him again when I needed my gall bladder removed. Again, EXCELLENT care! I recommend him and his office to everyone!!
