Dr. Mark Fuerth Schiowitz, MD

I've known Dr. Schiowitz since 1985. I worked in the radiology department of a local hospital. When he was young, I found him somewhat arrogant and difficult to deal with. The more I got to know him, the more I realized how wrong I was. His apparent "arrogance" was pure dedication to the well-being of his patients. Recently, I became a patient of his for a minor wound and I don't think I've ever had such a compassionate and dedicated surgeon. He was extremely thorough and explained everything in simple detail. I highly recommend this very dedicated, compassionate physician.

Every day I am grateful for the amazing efforts of this wonderful doctor who saved my life when almost all other physicians would likely have given up. It is almost 10 years later now, and I am doing great. I owe my life to this man.

Dr. Schiowitz is the best doctor in the area. There are not many doctors like him anymore. He is knowledgeable and takes his time with his patients. He has an excellent bedside manner. His expertise is astonishing! He really loves what he does and cares a great deal about his patients and anymore that is a rare trait to find. He is not only my surgeon but also 3 my family members surgeon. I really dont know what myself and my family would have done without him! I trust him with my life and my families! I would not go anywhere else. He can handle the most complex cases with ease. He is never to busy to return a call and takes your concerns to heart. He is simply an amazing surgeon and human being and that is a rare find. He cares so much about the health care industry and his community. I would recommend him to everyone. He is not the type of surgeon who does surgery to just do it he tries to find the best treatment modality that works to each specific case. He is truly amazing! I… wish I could give 10stars!

Best General Surgeon Around!

Dr. Schiowitz is an excellent doctor, an excellent surgeon, very compassionate. He performed surgery on me, umbilical hernia, and did an excellent job. The scar is barely visible. I trust him immensely.

Dr. Schiowitz is the best surgeon in the Northeast. If I lived in Philly or New York I would travel to Wilkes-Barre just to have him as my doctor. He is just the most wonderful doctor.
