You need lots of money and time

I found Dr. Sherfey through a search for Integrative physicians to treat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I had done my own research, made the useless rounds of mainstream, and wanted a doctor to order specific testing from my own findings. Dr. Sherfey did all I asked of him for 2 years. When my fatigue did not get better, I told him I would do it "his way" and we worked at it for another 2 years. He did not give up. I experienced gradual better health but needed more. Our last resort was growth hormones or IV vitamins, amino acids and minerals. I decided on the IV's, and healing began. Today I function at approximately 80% which is amazing considering I am 66 years old. We are now looking at hormone replacement. Dr. Sherfey is an old-time doctor. He will send hours with you the first visit. He will research your condition extensively. One of MANY tests I had done on my own was a 24-hour cortisol test. An IGA result was on there. No explanation. ON HIS OWN he researched it and suspected… I was gluten sensitive. We used a fecal test that is not used in mainstream but 100% more effective. It showed extensive damage to my intestines. When I quit gluten my health/mood/energy improved 50%. This is an old-time doctor. He has an office attached to his home. He used to have a big office and worked with a hospital. With all the restrictions being made by the government which limits real healthcare and to be closer to his family he now works out of his home. I worked in the office for Dr. Sherfey three times for approximately 2 years each time over the last 19 years. I have watched his total dedication to his patients. If you want quick fix with a pill this is not the doctor for you. His philosophy is to get to the root of the problem. That said, he will accommodate the "quick fix" to a point. But he will not violate his personal convictions concerning some forms of pills and drugs.

I have never experienced a doctor who puts the time and research into his client care like Dr. Sherfey does. I saw him in regards to having a full-term pregnancy (I have a history of pre-term labor) and he was amazing. The most thorough medical experience ever! We drove two hours for the initial exam, and we were able to do everything else long distance. He followed up with me for the next three months, and with his help I made it PAST my due date!

This is not a Dr

I heard some good things and some bad.

Spent time with me but was also jumping up leaving the room and spent a lot of time looking up things in books, did not answer questions but just wrote everything down. Cost a few hundred dollars and does not take any insurance. Seems to think problems stem from hormones and has tunnel vision on medical issues.

I want no other Doctor for my children, as long as they live, if we can help it! Dr. Sherfey is wise about health & wellness matters that often go ignored, get misdiagnosed, mistreated, or are avoided, in the main stream/high rise style medical systems that we've taken our children to in the past. Dr. Sherfey is a REAL, down to earth, very intelligent Doctor, who actually spends time with his patients, is very attentive and caring, calls them at home with advice regarding health & wellness matters, and has a remarkable understanding for the interconnected workings of the human body. We would travel a long ways to see Dr. Sherfey (if we had to), so we're very thankful he's close by!

He was referred to us by a friend, and we've always been very pleased with him in many ways: 1-availability 2-services provided 3-diligence in diagnosing and researching problems 4-takes as much time as needed with us, never leaving us feel rushed 5-very reasonable rates for services given 6-is fine with providing us a diagnosis and us deciding to treat ourselves 7-is much more like old time doctors who treat their patients as friends We would highly recommend him to grateful people.

Dr. Sherfey has been a very attentive, thorough, understanding, caring & wise doctor. He has helped me in many areas, including chronic, hormonal/reproductive issues, related to a past tubal ligation surgery (gone wrong). I am pleased to be his patient, & thoroughly trust him to manage all my healthcare needs. He listens, he understands me, he pays attention, he looks at the big picture, AND looks at the details. Best of all, he insists on getting to the root of any problems that effect me, & doesn't let me get discouraged and/or give up.... Can't ask for a better GP!!!
