We really respect and like Dr. Shirley. He thinks out of the box to look at modifiable factors before and in addition to medicine. He has a holistic view and in our experience has been on target. We come from Lincoln to see him.

Dr. Shirley is the Best of the Best especially when it comes to "His" Troops. Flight Surgeon Lt. Col. Shirley is a Outstanding Officer and Gentleman who does the very best to take care of the troops regardless of their status, he cares for the Military family like they are his own and that really matters especially for Veterans. Some civilians may not understand the military ties that bind this Doctor to his patients but you will get the outstanding care without the "Fluff", straight and direct. I am honored to known Colonel Shirley and I am Grateful he cares for my family.

Dr. Shirley is outstanding in his profession and "tells it like it is". I have been to doctors in many cities and many states and he is one of the best doctors I have had. His staff is very courteous and made me feel at ease and comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Shirley to anyone who asks.

I thought Dr. Shirley was more of a "natural remedy" doctor but he is just as quick to dispense drugs as any other doctor I've had. He's a nice man and I don't really have any problems with him.

Dr. Shirley is knowledgeable and lives a lifestyle that proves he believes not just in medicine, but health care. He is holistic, but not to tree hugger extremes.His office staff seems totally disconnected from the patients and could care less about anyone. I suppose as the gatekeeper for a great doctor maybe he selected people who would be his opposite for some reason or another, but they certainly don't have the appeal of the caring staffs of the 60's or 70's.I was also rather surprised at the lack of follow up after appointments that I thought would have required at least some follow up, such as testing or introducing or changing a prescription. Overall, I do believe that Dr. Shirley is knowledgeable and practical. I expect he will outlive me, which is important at this stage of my life.
