Dr. Mark Siegel, MD

Dr. Siegel literally saved my daughter's life. She became severely depressed half way through her junior year of high school and missed the entire second semester because of her anxiety and depression. She had been seen by several physiatrists at Aurora and none of the medicine anyone gave her worked or made it any better. In fact it continued to get worse. I was at the end of my rope and my daughter had given up on psychiatrists and wanted to die. Then we were referred to Dr. Mark Siegel. He saw my daughter for one hour and knew what was wrong with her when no one else did. Her main issue was not anxiety and depression, it was ADHD. He put her an Adderall and she improved immediately. He then added another med and that was exactly what she needed. She has treated with him for over five years now and has had a wonderful, fulfilling and depression free life all because of him. I truly and whole heartedly believe this amazing doctor saved her life.

It is difficult to make appointments that fit my schedule with Dr. Segal. My husband works in Racine and I work in IL during the week. When I attempt to make appointments for my son on days that schools have off, his schedule is full. The last two years, Dr. Segal informs me that my son should be seen once a year, but when I call to refill a script, the office staff tells me that I have to make an appointment every 6 months. There seems to be a communication issue. Picking up scripts is also a BIG problem; like I mentioned previously, my husband and I both out of the city during the week, so I request the script to be mailed. Each time, the staff has to confirm with Dr. Segal and get manager permission to mail which delays the mailing in a timely basis. Again, this should be in my son's file and a communication issue.
