Dr. Mark Lawrence Silverman, MD

Took my son (minor) to see him. Did not care to hear what I had to say about the issues at hand. Offered my son Adderall and an anxiety med without discussing with me first. Per my son, during sessions the doctor would go on the internet to find information to challenge our guidelines for behavior/privileges set up at home.

I’ve made tremendous positive strides in my life with the help and guidance of Dr.Silverman.

I continue to have very positive and constructive results in my sessions. I feel very safe and cared for. Highly recommend Dr. Silverman

He just helps me. We talk. And I believe that's how he gets to understand my issues. It's a selflessness, and I think I give my self away because I feel comfortable. When I leave, I don't feel judged, but that I'm alright & somehow, somewhere, I fit in. I feel I can trust him and that he's honest. Different kind of Dr. than I've had before. Maybe that's why he works!

He is not professional, not compassionate, emotionally abusive, and a narcissist. DO NOT GO TO HIM.

My daughter has been seeing him for years she has all and plus symptoms of bipolar and manic depression she pays him every month 200 dollars even though she has Medicaid he got her addicted to anarol and colarapin he only wants her money and she pays so she can get her opioid that’s why she doesn’t change doctors she wants the corrupt one my family pays the price she stays up for 3 nights on a roll then sleeps for 3 days and night wakes up like a devil blaming everybody for her problems thanks to the man you call a doctor my daughter is a mess but one day karma will get him myself I want to call channel 2 for help he is not a doctor he careless about you as long as he gets his money she gets appointments any day or time she need she calls the night before he always gets her in immediately which makes even more evident that all he cares is money never request blood work to check liver or anything and that is how much he cares his name should be dollarman instead stay away from him also… he never gives her a receipt funny thing is it not?????

At first, his blunt approach was very offputting but he isn't there to pamper you, the goal is to get better right? He will help you identify flaws in thinking or medication issues rather than just letting you continue on with doing what has earned you an impairment in mental health to begin with. I'm not totally stable yet, but I have a feeling I'll get there. Some people dont like the more blunt approach, but its exactly what I needed.

I am surprised by any negative reviews. He is intelligent, informed and truly cares about people. He will make himself easily available especially if there is a danger of self harm. I guess in this profession there needs to be a good personality fit between patient and doctor but I find the negative posts unbelievable after my experiences.

Our experience was a horrible one. My daughter and I both sought therapy elsewhere to get over his emotional abuse! He is condescending, arrogant and just downright rude. Shouldn’t be allowed to practice, in my opinion.

He was very aggressive in his approach. We assumed this was not an error but it came across as rude and critical, rather than tailored to our needs. Not only will we never return, we would suggest anyone thinking about using his services think twice, don’t assume there will be any bedside manner and be ready to be berated.
