in the throws of labor I foolishly decided to get an epidural. This doctor came in to do the epidural. his bedside manner was not good and he tried 5 times to hit the epidural space (this is my 4th child, so I know it can be done) (lets also remember my contractions are coming every 1-2 minutes) and on the 5th try got it in, but the wrong space or depth and sent ringing to my ears. He had to pull it out. Finally when he thinks it's in it actually only shot medication to my lower right leg...which was NOT pushing a baby out. By the time he did all this I was ready to push the baby out but he was screaming at me "DO YOU WANT ME TO FIX IT OR NOT". hello...mcfly, the baby's head is coming out. no. and I would never let him near my spine again. My lower right leg remained incredibly numb for 24 hours.

Dr. Slack was the anesthesiologist for my child during 2 surgeries on his right leg. At the first surgery, he started to do a nerve block on the left leg until I repeatedly said, "it's the OTHER leg." At the second surgery, 2 years later, he came into the pre-op area and stated that the operation was on the left leg - again WRONG leg. Later his billing people billed my insurance company with my husband listed as the patient instead of my son.
