Dr. Mark G Smith, DDS

Dr. Mark Smith has provided exceptional dental care in Omaha since 1987.  "Dentistry allows me to get to know people on a very one-on-one basis, improve my patient's health, and provide them with opportunities to beautify their smile.  The most rewarding moment of all is to see the smile at the end of treatment, which lets me know I've done just what the patient expected."  Dr. Smith has seen lives changed through the restoration and creation of beautiful smiles, and is dedicated to listening to his patients needs and to the study of current dental technology.
Graduating near the top of his class at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry (1987), Dr. Smith had previously attended and graduated from Omaha Westside High School (1979) and Nebraska Wesleyan University (1983), where he was the senior class president.  A commitment to lifelong learning has led him to attend courses all across the nation on emerging dental technology.  An emphasis on occlusion and …esthetics directed him to the OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry in Oregon, where he has reached a Level III certification, and to numerous orthodontic continuums around the country and membership in the American Orthodontic Society.
Other professional affiliations include: The American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental Association, the Omaha District Dental Society, the Christian Dental Society, the Midwest Society for Orthodontics for the General Practitioner, the Kansas Society of Orthodontics for the General Practitioner, and the Academy of General Dentistry.  Future plans include a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and a continued focus on cosmetic and restorative procedures.
Dr. Smith lives in Omaha with his wife, Susan.  They enjoy working together and going on annual dental mission trips to Jamaica.
