Dr. Mark Soltany, MD

Don't go here. While Dr. Soltany is nice enough, his support staff is grossly incompetent and rude. They don't call back in a timely fashion and it is very difficult to get anything done with them.

I visited a different medical group other than Dr. Soltany's group on December 18, 2023 for itching in my ear canals. I was not seen by a doctor, but a physician's assistant who prescribed me baby oil. The baby oil provided no relief. The untreated itching got so bad over the next eleven days that I canceled my Christmas visit to see my parents. I saw Dr. Soltany on December 29, 2023. He immediately looked in my ear canal and removed some dead skin from my left ear canal. He prescribed the right medication for both my ear canals and thoroughly answered my question about next steps. My visit with Dr. Soltany definitely was worth the wait.

Dr. Soltany's father was my doctor when I was a kid; now I go to him and send anyone who is looking for THE BEST ear, nose, and throat doc in Northern Virginia to him without hesitation.He is really unusual in that he is a very careful listener, and is highly considerate regarding being respectful with all his patients (I've been aware of his work with others while waiting in his exam room(s). In addition, his diagnostic skills are incredible; always quite accurate for me, and he's careful to assure his patients regarding their expectations relative to any treatment they receive from him.I actually wrote him a thank you note for taking the time to make sure I understood what he was going to do; he then took care of my problem right on the spot.You can't go wrong with this doctor.
