Dr. Mark Anthony Spicer, MD

Dr. Mark Spicer did surgery on my elderly mother. Something went wrong and she was dead shortly after. .I tried to speak with Spicer and he refused to speak with me. I filed a complaint with The California Medical Board. I was told by the Board that Spicer was under investigation for gross negligence, unethical behavior and falsifying records. He currently is on probation. Do your homework and check him out on The California Board Of Medicine site. It is my belief this man is very dangerous.

At first I didn't know how to fill about him till I met him. He explained to me what I had and what surgery I was going to get done. I have had 2 surgeries done for a patuatary tumor in my brain. He haves been the best Dr. Ever. He made me feel so good and not scared when I went threw those surgeries.

My first surgery was an emergen Cy operation to remove an abcess on my spine..I am so greatful. Second surgery after a fall was also very successful. I think he is the best in the West.

There are to many things to list and I'm not going into all the details, but I'm not happy with the outcome of my surgery and I was never happy with the office staff that we're rude and needed training in just basic customers service and compassion for clients. I am in more pain now than before surgery and was told by Dr. Spicer on my final visit that he did not know why I was still in pain and he his job was done. Yet after seeing 2 other doctors the confirmed why I was in.such pain. I am now on more medication than before surgery and on my why to see another Nuero sutgeon. I do not recommend Dr. Spicer or his team.

Dr Spicer was great,the office staff was great,the hospital,and surgery team was outstanding.the office,hospital and surgery team took great care with me,the surgery team was so good and took such great care,they all had confidence in there profession and one another.

Dr.Spicer saved my husband from being paralyzed due to neck injury. He had a great and very supportive and involved attitude and his team was amazing! They kept me updated and informed throughout the process. We trust this doctor.

Wonderful doctor. Explained the problem very well. Surgery on the lower lumbar was a great success. I'm an 84 year old and didn't even need therapy. Would recommend Dr. Spicer to anyone.

do not let him do spine surgery.. hope hes better at brain surgery.

well not sure if he was practicing on me when he put the rods in my back , but I would never go back to him,

My father, who has cancer and kidney disease, had disc replacement surgery in his neck. He had been suffering for more than a year with pain and neuropathy, and Dr. Spicer came in with solutions; he was so caring and attentive. The surgery went well, and my father is recovering nicely. My father couldn't be more pleased, and our family is so incredibly appreciative. Nothing but praise for both Dr. Spicer's technique and bedside manner.
