Dr. Mark Joseph Titi, MD

Respiratory Specialists is run more like a small corporation than a medical office- for example, anytime I called there, I never spoke to a real human. And the staff never ever returned my calls in a timely fashion, so I never knew if my request was happening or not. And then there’s Dr. Titi. He’s terrible; I was switched to this practice after my previous allergist retired. I stayed with them initially because the PA I saw previously stayed and she is amazing. Well, she ended up leaving the practice at some point, I don’t know when because they never told me. Usually you get a courtesy letter or something, but nope, nada, until I called out of desperation. I was attempting to fill my rescue asthma inhaler. Instead of doing the prior auth to continue the treatment I received before, Dr. Titi decides on a whim to change my rescue inhaler to a medicine I’ve never been on, and also can’t take because of a side effect problem. He also did this without telling me & WITHOUT EVEN MEETING ME.… If he had made an appointment with me, I would have absolutely told him upfront that I cannot take straight albuterol, which is why I was on the original rescue inhaler anyway! Dr. Titi knew nothing about me and didn’t care to know or learn anything about me, and that says a lot about his priorities as a doctor. (Not my experiences in this note but I also had a friend who was having severe asthma attacks that landed her in the hospital ER regularly. Dr. Titi told her to “do some yoga”. SERIOUSLY?!)

I visited this office for the first time. Courteous Staff, the doctor answered all my questions and returned my call when I had questions after my visit.

** BEWARE OF THIS PLACE **** Chose this doctor at your own risk. My fiance went here and had to be taken out in an ambliance. The first test they did went find was your average scratch test. Then they did a test where they injected her with 18 different things at once (I know sounds like a good idea right). They left her alone in the room. After 5 minutes she felt weird and barely made it to the door to get help. She never made it back to the table. Blacked out from Anaphylactic shock and had to get shot with an epi pen. Was then taken to the hospital. When she inquired for a list of stuff they shot into her she received a hand written list which half of it she could not read. For the first test they left her alone for 20 mintues. Would they have done that for the second test too? Good luck if you go there but I would not reccomend it.
