Mark Titus, MD

I've had 3 colonoscopies with Dr. Titus. First one was perfect. 2nd one, 5 years ago, I regained consciousness in the middle of procedure, could feel someone poking around down there, was extremely surprised, but then fell back to sleep. I brought up this point with Dr. Titus and his nurse. They made a note of it. 3rd one, a few days ago, I specifically brought up the subject of sedation/anesthesia again since I was quite concerned not to have a repeat experience, waking up in middle of procedure. Not sure what the nurse said. Anyway, this time, not only did I regain consciousness again just like last time, in middle of procedure, I actually felt acute pain and extreme discomfort from the procedure, I could feel myself wiggling trying to get away from source of pain several times. I was sure they could probably see me wiggling around on the bed. After several seconds, fortunately, I fell back to sleep again. Dr. Titus seemed very nice and competent. But there simply is no… excuse to have this horrible experience happen 2 times in a row. My testimony is the truth. I hate to give him a bad rating. But I am switching doctors next time. Identified he wanted to perform a routine colonoscopy, but billed it as a medical issue costing me several hundred dollars. Unprofessional business practice.

almost perfect,friendly,listens well. He probaly has a heavy work load. good doctoring to him.
