Very knowledgeable, trusting, takes his time, I have never had to wait more than ten minutes, and Dr. Mark Townsend is extremely intelligent and up to date on the latest medications available. He has treated me for many years and I have nothing but kind things to say about Dr. Mark Townsend and his staff.

Dr. Townsend has been nothing less than a godsend for me. He truly LISTENS and ANSWERS me. I trust him implicitly. Over the years, he has had to try me on various meds to find which ones work with my unique brain chemistry. I cannot even begin to describe his great patience, and the hope he gives me through our conversations. In addition. he is very kind and compassionate, and so easy to talk to. I KNOW he wants the very best results for his patients. He trusts me and we have a mutual exchange of ideas and respect. He is courteous and upbeat. His credentials are superb. I am truly blessed to have Dr. Townsend as my psychiatrist, and I would recommend to anyone.

This man prescribed medicine without even checking to see what other medications a patient was on. The medication which was prescribed was not needed. Patient has extreme paranoia and a psychotic break. The patient then had to be hospitalized for several reasons. Don't you think you should read the forms people spent filling out before you throw drugs at the problem?

A cool and sympathetic and helpful guy who goes many miles beyond what other shrinks do tohelp his clients. A bit too much belief in the wonder effects of certain Rx, but most noncounselors belief this. He deserves more accolades for all he does for patients and community. 100% recommended.

Dr Townsend is a great doctor. He has an excellent bedsite manner is genuinely concerned about his patients. After searching for a doctor that would be able to help me, he was the doctor would put me on the proper medications that has stabilized me and basically caused my depression to go away.With this said, his staff is horrible. They are rude and talk down to the patients. I have heard them talking to other patients at the window; therefore, I know I am not the only one they treat this way. When you call to make an appointment, they always make you wait four to six weeks before you can get in to see him.Overall, Dr Townsend gets Four Stars and his staff gets zero.

Time always drags when I'm in the waiting room unless they have a good magazine selection, and they definitely do here. When you wait less than give minutes, you really do not have time read magazines. Whenever I see Dr Townsend, he and his staff always makes me feel like I'm his only patient. I've always felt very respected. I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations. I have been a patient now for more than five years. Dr Townsend is ranked among the best Psychiatrist by his own peers. He is a leading researcher and an expert in his speciality.
