Dr. Mark Steven Trachtman, MD

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Trachtman! My son was seen at 1.5 years old, he's now almost 18. He has 1 weak eye...we patched, we got glasses, we patched over the glasses. Every visit was enjoyable over the last 15 years. . He told me exactly what we were dealing with and encouraged my son in his sports safety when it came to his eye. I heard that Doc recently retired. We see a different Dr today, as a matter of fact, and I pray that we will receive the same care. Take care Dr Trachtman and we hope your retirement is enjoyable and blessed!

Dr Trachtman is a great doctor who you can Trust. He cares extremely about his patients medically but also as a person. He has taken care of my family from minor issues to severe. He was the only one who had the correct diagnoses for my daughter before it was too late. He is the BEST!

Dr. Trachtman has been my sons eye doctor since his premature birth, in 2000, at LV Hospital, he is both caring and compassionate and chooses not to sugar coat anything, we know right up front what we are faced with and he is in our corner fighting with us every step of the way to ensure my sons eyesight, which is poor, to say the least, does not diminish all together..

My boys have been patients of Dr Trachtman over 20 years. We usually had to wait in the office but he was worth it. Great with kids and parents, explains everything clearly. Accurate diagnosis in just a few minutes. Thank you Dr Trachtman for all your years of service!

My child was having episodes of double vision and one eye was going in. Took her to the ER and had an MRI which was negative. They asked us to follow up with an eye doctor. I heard wonderful things about Dr. Trachman so I was happy to get an appointment the very next morning. He seemed very short and rushed with my daughter. He was actually arguing with her that she could see. He also told her that if she doesn't see the next step is going to the hospital for a needle in your back or eye. It was very inappropriate. He then asked my daughter to leave and told me she was lying and making it up because she wants glasses. He went as far to show me he can make one eye cross and that she duped the Ped ER dr's at Lehigh valley hospital. He then told me to lie to my daughter that she would be getting glasses. I left speechless. Never have I or my child been treated by a dr in such a way. Obviously the episodes kept happening so we took her to CHOP where we saw wonderful Nuerologists and… optometrists. They figured out the correct diagnosis and we are relieved. I wish we never would have went to Dr Trachman. The fact that he just assumed my child was lying because this was above his medical knowledge is atrocious.

The staff, particularly Jane, is condescending and assumes the wrong result time and again. The phone is not answered and if you are transferred, you will be dropped off line. Awful!

The staff members we dealt with were incredibly rude and the waiting area was so crowded people had to stand. My child was very scared and crying and treated very poorly. The doctor was wonderful, it's a shame the assistant was so awful

Dr. Trachtman is wonderful, but his staff is rude. They are rude on the phone and in person, which make the overall experience not so pleasurable. If Dr. Trachtman wasn't the best, I would go somewhere else d/t the other staff.
