Dr. Mark E Triana, DO

Dr Triana himself is a really good, wonderfully caring doctor and very skilled surgeon. He is good at what he does and his manner is caring and friendly. His staff used to be but since Tidelands bought his practice most of the staff is new and they are not very good at all. His staff who remain from before this major change are wonderful as usual. Now there is a constant blame the patient mentality. For everything. For trying to make an appointment sooner than two and a half months from now for an acute problem to not asking for a prescription according to the brand new "rules" which can be broken in NO circumstances for ANY reason. EVER. Or it's your own fault. And they don't CARE why or what happens to you. That's most, not all of his staff who are new since Tidelands bought it. It's always been somewhat difficult for a patient to schedule a new appointment because Dr. Triana sees a lot of people and can't make time out of thin air but now it's absurd and harmful.… The new staff is downright rude.

I had a plif surgery under Dr Triana a few years ago , while at the time it seemed great but over the course of a year or more after said surgery I tried desperately to see his office again after they discharge me from care and I couldn't get a simple return phone call. Then I had a terrible fall and feared I may have re injured my previous surgery area I tried to see him again . After visiting the ER the Dr their told me since Dr Triana had performed my prior surgery I should return back to him with my CD for further help on this matter. After dropping off my CD like I was told to do ,and waiting three weeks for a response his assistant tells me they had his other assistant review it and there was nothing they could do for me cause they didn't work on compression fractures. I understand that but not be able to finish my conversation with her she would've found out that I was also worried about the surgery he performed and whether I had damaged that area in my latest accident. I… understand if I was calling and requesting pain meds or repeatedly calling and being a nuisance but all I wanted was just a simple visit and advice from this Dr and instead I was treated as if I had done those thi ha I previously mentioned ! While I'm still in alot of discomfort I'm now forced to write this review and search for another Dr to help me with this dilemma!

Dr Triana has been my back dr for over 10 years. He is very professional and yet offers you a feeling of comfort and trust. I would strongly recommend Dr. Mark Triana as a physician you can depend and trust as an orthopaedic surgeon.

Dr. Triana and his staff are the a+. Dr. Triana spends time with each patient, is caring responsible and courteous. I have been going to him for 10 years and would not think of seeing anyone else.

Dr Triana is amazing. The best doctor I have ever seen. I have never had a doctor who cared so much and I am very grateful to have found him.

Dropped my records off 3 weeks ago, have not heard a word back. Tried to call and the phone system doesn't work 1/2 the time. Absolutely the worst experience with a doctor I have ever had. Should be ashamed of himself! Get a staff, a phone system and start behaving like a doctor!

you just can't do any better than Dr Triana,,I have been a patient of his for over 13 yrs and will trust NO ONE else with my care!

I have been seeing Dr. Triana since moving to Myrtle Beach in 2004. I had a OJI when I lived in New York and needed a Ortho Specialist down here. My Primary care Doctor recommended Dr. Triana and it was the best recommendation to receive. He is the best Doctor I have had for my problems (arm,back,shoulder and elbow). He cares about his patients, spends time with you, talks to you and is really concerned about you and your problems.

I do not mind one bit waiting for Dr. Triana.. because I know that he is spending quality time with another one of his patients .. which will be the same calm attention I will get when it is my turn.. In fact , that is my highest love for him.. He always allots all the time I need to help me feel like he cares enough about me to spend time with me even if the next person in the waiting room is getting inpatient..

A great guy and a fantastic surgeon,would recommend and have,to anyone!!
