Dr. Mark Nicholas Uranga, MD

Don't ask him questions, he doesn't like it. Also, don't breastfeed your children. He'll do everything he can to get them on formula. If you question any of his practices, he'll threaten a call to cps. Your instinct as a parent is just irrelevant and irritating to him.

Does not take time with children or parents. His nurse is good but he is not. Would not recommend

This was our first experience with a pediatrician and we are not very happy. As first time parents, OF COURSE we have a million questions and worries and we do not feel Dr. Uranga takes time to address them with the compassion and understanding we would expect form a provider that specializes in children. He hurries through our appointments and I do feel we get personalized care. Furthermore, of the 4 times we have seen him, I have left feeling bad and questioning myself twice...not the way you want to feel after seeing a doctor. We are going elsewhere

Very friendly and great with my children.

I would have to say that our experience was not a good one. Not very good at explaining things and also very pushy about vaccines. Rather than going over the risks and the pro's to put my mind at ease, Dr. Uranga kept insisting that I do the vaccines that day and without research. Also when I brought a concern to him about my child being in pain and screaming for hours at a time, his response was "the important thing is to not hurt your child." It made me feel as if he was not taking my concerns seriously and I felt helpless for my baby because I could not get any answers other than the response given above. I have never once thought of hurting my child, and to be told that completely blew my mind and caught me off guard because I am bringing my "hurting" child to you to figure out a way to help them stop hurting. Not impressed!!!
