Mark Waltzman, MD

Dr. Mark Waltzman is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Boston Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School who specializes in the emergency care of infants, children, and adolescents with acute illnesses and injuries. He also serves as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at South Shore Hospital. Dr. Waltzman earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and completed his pediatrics residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, followed by a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. Board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine, he has been actively involved in clinical care, medical education, and research focused on emergency medicine quality improvement, delayed diagnosis in pediatric emergency settings, healthcare-associated violence, and advancing equitable pediatric care delivery.
