I scheduled my appointment in November; had to wait 5 months for an appointment in March. A week before the appointment, they call to tell me the physician won't be in the office that day as he is taking call, and they don't have any appointments until June as they are putting me back on the wait list. They refused to bump a patient that scheduled after me, making me wait. Now, physicians know there call schedule in advance, so why make the appointment. In my 20 years in healthcare, a physician does not take the day off just because he is on call, especially Pulmonology when their emergencies are not from the ER, but mostly from the ICU. They lighten their schedules those days to accommodate being called into the hospital. They couldn't have handled this situation worse if they tried!
