Dr. Mark graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1983. Midway through his senior year Dr. Mark was granted "Clinical Privileges in Restorative Dentistry" by the UDM faculty. This distinction was awarded to a select group of students and allowed Dr. Mark the opportunity to exceed all "requirements" necessary to graduate and to really perfect the art of dentistry. Dr. Mark does indeed feel that dentistry is an ART form, starting with a vision for each procedure and then bringing that vision to fruition.
Dr. Mark has practiced Dentistry in Downtown Flushing for the past 27 years. He feels privileged to be a part of this community and has supported all Chamber of Commerce events either personally or financially since 1984. The relationships he has developed with his patients and staff along with his experience and knowledge of Dentistry keeps his passion for Dentistry alive.
Dr. Mark's hobbies include fishing and the restoration of old …cars. His wife, Laurel, made the observation years ago that Dr. Mark likes to "restore" things. She made reference to the classic cars, the beautifully restored historical building in which the practice is located and of course teeth! Laurel and Dr. Mark have three children, Douglas, Shanna and Dave. They love their collie and her name is Whisper.
