Dr. Mark William Woody, MD

He was so nice, came out and talked to me. The nurse said "he was the radiologist that the doctors go to". That's the one I want, too.

After reviewing and interpreting results of images focusing on an unusual growth on one of my kidneys, Dr. Woody recommended that I return in 3 years for additonal imaging to see if the growth had changed. I requested a second opinion. The report from a subsequent review by another radiologist indicated that the growth was suspicious of a renal cell carcinoma. I had surgery to remove the entire kidney. The pathology from the tissue confirmed that the tumor was malignant. Fortunately, I did not wait 3 years as Dr. Woody recommended and it appears that the cancer was contained to one kidney. Dr. Woody has over 20 years experience in reading and interpreting films and should not have dismissed the findings so lightly. It helps to know who works "behind the scenes"; that is, doctors who participate in medical decisions concerning patient care that you never meet. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Woody to ANYONE seeking a professional interpretation of radiologic findings.
