Dr. Mark William Zawadsky, MD

Mark William Zawadsky, MD is a pro, a hip surgeons hip surgeon and on top of that he is also a superb intra-articular hip disease diagnostician, something that can be said for only a few hip replacement surgeons. Simply stated he is a very cool dude who is among the best at EVERYTHING he does. I saw Dr Z five years ago after seeing a total of 7 clueless Board certified and/or Board eligible orthopaedic physicians for groin pain. He read my intake paperwork and sent for a Dunn view X-ray. He came into the room with a smile on his face, introduced himself, and said ever so politely: â??Maâ??am, you donâ??t need me, your hip has absolutely NO arthritis at all!â?? Then without pausing and before I could even think here go we again, he rolled his chair over to where I was sitting upright on his exam table, placed his hand on the inside of my left ankle and put my L-hip into internal rotation by swinging my lower leg outward which made me go owww!!! He looked straight at me and smiled.… â??You need a Doctor who fixes hips not one who takes them out.â?? He wrote me a referral for the new kind of hip doctor and it was over in 3 ½ minutes. I have genuine respect and gratitude for Dr Zawadsky. He set me on my way to finally getting out of my hip/groin pain. Thank you Doctor.

He is an excellent, detail-oriented surgeon and he answered all my concerns. Very grateful for him.

Dr. Zawadsky is knowledgeable, well-trained, and professional. His front desk is profoundly inept and discourteous.

Mark Zawadsky does not deserve the title DR. He lied when he stated he would personally perform the hip revision and about pain medication after my surgery. I read the op report and he did not perform the surgery. He never visited me after the surgery and had an intern make the rounds. This man is very untrustworthy. The pain is still in my hip which is why I had the surgery. I would not recommend him.

After seeing two orthopedic surgeons and not being impressed by either, I saw an article about Dr. Zawadsky and his arterial method for hip replacement and watched the videos. I was impressed even before I met him. I was able to see him the next week and he confirmed I needed hip replacement.It has only been a week today since my surgery but I have to say, I have not been in any pain. It is well managed. I'm walking with a walker and cane but will graduate to a cane in the next couple of days.He responds quickly with any questions that arise, has an efficient wonderful staff. Georgetown Hospital is the place to go. It may not be the most modern hospital, but their care and standards are phenomenal.If anyone is considering hip or knee replacement, please see Dr. Zawadsky. I'm sure, like me, you'll be extremely impressed.
