Dr. Markus Penson Heyder, DDS

I was very happy with the visit to have my tooth looked at by Dr. M Heyder and found out that I needed an old crown replaced from way too many years ago. I have been coming to Atlantic Dentistry for maybe 9 years and I come there from Hertford. Everyone treats you like family, very pleasant and very professional.

I think Dr. Markus is a great Dentist....I first went to see him after losing a cap...he immediately figured out how he would artistically and creatively fix my tooth in one visit. It not only looked beautiful but felt good too. I was a walk-in patient. I have been going on and off for 2 years. His staff is completely knowledgeable and most efficient kind and very friendly. The atmosphere is very busy but very upbeat too. Oh did I mention I’ve had a few surgeries and the after pain has been minimal. I find Dr. Markus to be extremely confident in his work which is very reassuring. He is a no nonsense person who is very kind, compassionate will work on your teeth and not be satisfied until they are just perfect!! Highly recommend this great Dental Practice??

I would highly recommend Dr Markus Heyder and his practice for anyone needing dental care in the Outer Banks. I had a broken tooth/filling and they got me in the same day and fixed my tooth in one hour with a new filling. They were friendly, fast, extremely competent with the procedure. The price is totally reasonable I would use them as my regular dentist if I lived here. They are both extremely good looking as a bonus.

Poor diagnostician. No compassion. Does not listen to patient. Hygienists are inexperienced and incompetent. X rays were never saved in system during initial evaluation. On a scale of 1-10 my pain from this experience was a 10 and my confidence level was a 1!
