Dr Cordero understands postpartum depression and anxiety and has been so helpful in guiding me toward the path of a brighter future. She has a great demeanor and really cares and listens to her patients .

Atrocious human beings both Doctor and receptionist. Can’t believe the anguish and distress this office inflicts on its patients, and their carless disregards for patients’ mental health and well-being. They are unreliable and rude can’t believe she is allowed to have a practice.

Please read all reviews of Dr. Cordero all over the Internet before choosing her as your provider. I reported her and her practice today to The medical board. Please don’t just leave reviews online report her !!! I went through the exact same things as the other reviewer‘s. I went into see Dr. Marlene about ADHD medication and after a less than 50 minute appointment she immediately diagnosed me as bipolar. Nobody in my family or history has signs of bipolar is him but we do have ADHD. That is what I went in to be seen for. Throughout the last year of dealing with her we had numerous phone calls due to Covid and she was insanely dismissive about me saying she misdiagnosed me. She had me try a total of four different bipolar medication’s which none of them worked and they ended up really affecting my sleep patterns. I now am on a 50 mg of Sorquil just to sleep at night because of this. today was the last phone conversation that I had with her she kept over talking me was overbearing and… insisted that her diagnosis was correct. She used to work at the mental institution in Atascadero so she would write prescriptions all day for bipolar patient. She has the worst arrogant see about her that I have ever experienced in my life. Her staff is absolutely horrible they never answer phone calls or call you back. I can attest to this by reading all the other comments all over the web. during our last phone calls she continued to argue with me and towards the end of the conversation when I said I don’t want your services anymore you’re a terrible doctor her last comment was good luck. Horrible experience! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I'm honestly not one to leave reviews (good or bad) but I wanted to share my experience so nobody else has to go through this. To sum it up, I was diagnosed by Marlene Cordero as bipolar 2 from our single 50 minute appt. After my own thorough research I realized I really didn't agree with that diagnosis and wanted to discuss further. When I brought that up to her in our follow up appt she was absolutely dismissive with me, would not listen to any of my concerns, and told me she's never made an incorrect diagnosis. I felt she was cold and arrogant, and basically telling me how wrong I was. I really just needed her to listen and she didn't. And honestly from the way she treated me when I left her office, I have a feeling this is something she's used to. Either way, I do NOT recommend this psychiatrist, she is the reason why so many people don't put their trust into mental health. And we can't have someone like that practicing like a professional (thank god I wasn't actually suicidal!).

Dr. Marlene M Cordero is a sweet woman, and she does listen to you and your issues the first appointment you have with her but that is only the first appointment. Stay away from here, her office staff only seems to consist of two people who never answer the phone. If you're having severe side effects to medication, have questions on medications, want to set an appointment, be aware that you will not get a response or anyone to answer your call, ever. They don't have a receptionist, just a very low-quality voicemail that hurts your ears every time you call. be aware, I had a life-threatening rash occur as a side-effect and still had to wait 4 days to get any response from her or her office. Save your time, save your money. This has been a very stressful experience.

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Cordero. She is extremely experienced, intuitive, insightful, caring. She always asks many relevant questions. She is very interested in my progress and how she can help. She is always on time and is polite, caring, and helped me more in 2 sessions than anyone else ever had. I have only the highest regard for her and would strongly recommend her. She is a rare gem!!

This has been the worst experience with a Dr I have ever had. The office never returns calls, the communication is awful, they are not all on the same page so there is always a problem. Dr. Cordero is arrogant and rude and not at all helpful with any real issues. She just tried throwing different medications at you. I would never ever recommend this Dr or any of her staff.

Dr Cordero over prescribed medication and even gave me two medications that were for the same thing and didn't recognize it until i complained that the medicine was making me sick. I couldn't get the refills of the medication that was helping which caused me great harm. She stopped returning my calls so i could explain to her that the drugs were giving me high blood pressure and making me sick, i finally had to just stop all the medication in the interest of my health because i felt i was getting poisoned, and it was evident that Dr Cordero didn't have my best health interests in mind.

loved one commited suicide in her care, even after they told her they were feeling sucidal, loved one mentioned they felt the Dr. kept giving them the wrong med to keep them coming back to charge $, God knows if it would have happened if the right medicine, or if she would have admitted them like she should have, if they would have had these idiations; would they still be here?

The doctor herself is average. However, don't count on any help from the receptionist which happens to be her son. Big shocker right!?
