she is a very sincere and kind physician. She wants to see you healed not just treated. She will never over medicate her patient. I have her personal phone number and she returns mys calls and text messages. She does not rush when seeing her patients. She is true to her profession.

Our family was delighted to discover that Dr. Hodnett had become a BCBS provider. Dr. Hodnett had been in practice with our previous doctor who retired; however, our insurance plan at the time did not cover Dr. Hodnett as a preferred provider. We were forced to look elsewhere. But when we found out Dr. Hodnett had become a BCBS provider we immediately changed our "care provider selection" back to her. I make no apologies that our family is Christian and one of the things we love about Dr. Hodnett is that after she has treated your physical aliment she offers to pray with you. Notice... she does not force prayer...she makes a quite offer. We have a fresh optimism regarding our family's health and well being since selecting Dr. Hodnett as our care provider.

I am not a native of Huntsville, AL and when I arrived I didn't think I would ever be able to find a doctor that I would feel comfortable with. There were times I would try a doctor and only leave disappointed. Doctor Marlo Hodnett is nothing like this. She doesn't just rush you in and out of her office, but it seems like every time that I go to visit her she makes me feel like I am the only patient around (although I know that she has many others). If you are looking for a doctor who really cares, you need not look any further. For Dr. Hodnett being a physician is not just her career, but it is her life. Some people may just want a quick prescription fix, but Dr. Hodnett also offers other options prior to sticking on pills. Thank You Dr. Hodnett. May God bless you as you have blessed so many others.

I wish I could give Dr. Hodnett a ton of praise. She is a wonderful person, very kind, soft spoken and cares about God. But I have no confidence in her ability as a doctor. She was fine when all I needed was a prescription refill. But as I begin to have real problems, and a real medical mystery going on, she showed just how "green" she is. She never ordered one test herself (besides bloodwork-which I get every 6 months anyway) she would always pass me off on a specialist. The specialist would question me "why are you here for me". I couldn't answer anything other than "because my dr. sent me here" Most of them acted as though she should've done some tests herself before sending me to them. She never follows up on any of the tests that the other dr.s ordered or checks to see if I'm doing any better, until I go to see her again for a new symptom. She never tried to piece together all the symptoms herself. Even after I wrote her a long letter asking for help for a certain test she… still wanted to pass me off on another dr. I don't say all of this to keep anyone from using her as their dr. But I think it's important for people to have all the facts before they put their trush in a new dr. Each time I would explain new symptoms (episodes) that I had had between visits she would ask "is it still going on or are you better" Since these episodes would come and go I would say well, right now I am better. Her response was always "well, if you're better don't worry about it". I got so sick of hearing that so I finally left to find a new dr. A person knows when something is not right with them. And a dr. should listen and help them figure it out instead of making them feel like they are a hypochondriac.

Being a woman over 40 I decided I wanted a female Doctor and was introduced to Dr. Hodnett. SHE IS WONDERFUL...she listens, she understands, she's thorough and she reminds you at every visit that she is a human being first. Alot of Doctors get lost within the white coat and medical books. They forget that every case isn't going to be your classic text book case. Dr. Hodnett makes you feel special, like you are the most important patient of the day. Maybe that can be attributed to her age. I'm not sure, but I like it. And finally, she will hold your hands and pray with you at every visit. That's a rare gem....and that's why I would highly recommend her.
