I cannot stress this enough: STAY AWAY. M. Newby does not listen to her patient's concerns, does not allow for any patient self-advocacy, and thinks she knows your body better than you do. I have severe vaginal atrophy and today she attempted to insert an adult sized speculum into me despite my repeated attempts to tell her my pelvic floor PT said only a child sized one would fit. On top of that she used lube I told her would burn instead of what I brought with me (shocker: it did!) and completely ignored that my body makes none of its own lubrication, so basically attempted ramming it in nearly dry. Got frustrated when I cried out in pain and my whole body started shaking from the pain and exclaimed I could go somewhere else. On top of all that, she told me I have a severe ear infection and then didn't call in meds. Refilled a med for me that was then sent to the wrong location, in the wrong quantity. Bottom line, she doesn't listen, doesn't give a crap what you know about your… body, thinks she's gods gift to pelvic exams when I've NEVER been treated that bad even by a fresh-out-of-med-school Dr. If I'd been an SA survivor, I'd have been in worse shape than I was. As it was, I sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes shaking like a leaf. Hours later and everything is still burning down there, even after a shower. DO NOT GO TO SEE HER. DO NOT REFER ANYONE TO HER. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid!!!
