In September 2025, Dr. O’Brien performed cataract surgery on my left eye. The result was a significant refractive miss, leaving me without usable mid-range or near vision despite paying for a premium lens. Only after consulting another surgeon did I fully understand that my eye was complex and outcomes could vary. What I cannot accept was the response afterward. When I returned distressed — unable to read my phone, struggling with depth perception, even falling — I was given shifting explanations and conflicting narratives and was ultimately made to feel the outcome was my fault. Dr. O’Brien’s communication style came across as rushed and dismissive. When I raised concerns, the response felt combative rather than collaborative, leaving little room for genuine dialogue about my care. The payment was complete; the accountability was not. I am now under the care of another surgeon while I explore options to correct what was done.

I’m a surgeon and my left eye vision started to deteriorate by the DAY two months ago now likely from a cataract (been through this before with my right eye).. Was lucky I thought to get an appointment with OCLI but as it turns out, this was a mistake. First I waited an hour and a half while dilated to be seen. Then Dr. O’Brien told me I have 20/20 vision (which I don’t) and that my left eye was fine (which it wasn’t). Then she refers me to her colleagues in Philly. Not very reassuring. Needless to say, as my vision continued to get worse I sought counsel elsewhere. Yes I have a cataract, yes I need surgery, and yes my vision on the left is only 20/50. Thanks for nothing OCLI. P.S. Dr. O’Brien, as one physician to another, maybe grow a personality, no matter how busy you are.

This doctor was so incredibly rude to me when, at the end of my visit I was upset because I had felt very rushed and still had questions about my upcoming cataract surgery. Everything seemed to be fine as I was going through my exams but when I had further questions, I was treated I was some sort of an idiot and was made wrong because they felt things were being explained over and over again. This was not true but what the doctor kept saying " if we have to explain it to you for five six times as if she was counting the number of times she said that. I felt like I was being verbally slapped around by her. First of all I was not asking the same questions over and over again, but had concerns that I asked about because I had been so rushed through in the first place . By the time I got finished with her assistant who's name, I believe, was Molita, who was so robotic and stern while we were scheduling my surgeries and office visits I was in tears. I remember one comment the doctor… said," This is how we do things here ." I didn't know exactly what she was talking about. Treating the patients like they have the mentality of a three-year-old ? It was seriously the most unpleasant experience I've had with any type of a doctor ever... and I'm 65 years old and haven't seen many due to Good Health. Our eyes are very important and if I'm going to let somebody slice into them they'd better be a little more personable.

This Dr. said right to my wife and myself that she was the best in the valley when she first saw us in the exam room. In hindsight we should have gotten up and left. My wife needed both her cataracts done and she elected to have her sight enhanced so she didn't need glass's. All said and done she still needs glass's and her one eye is worse then when she first went in. This Dr is full of herself and she's so much in a rush she forgets what her profession is all about, the patient and doing the best you can provide to your patient with the best care. I can say a lot more but you get the point.

She was one of three ophthalmologists recommended to me for cataract surgery. She was very condescending and obviously impressed with herself. I found a much better M.D. in Langhorne, an undergrad. of U. of Penn and U. of Penn Medical School who did his residency at Wills Eye, by the name of Dr. Sagun Pendse. He was patient, answered all my questions, did an excellent job at a long overdue surgery of one eye and later did the other eye. What a difference in a humble, exceedingly well-trained person! No wonder all the M.D.'s in that area use him!

Waited for 30 minustes, rude from the receptionist right til the doctor flew in and examined me for all of 1 1/2 minustes.

The prescription for my contact lenses clearly shows both eyes are a correction for distance. A copy was made for her files. I am nearsighted and therefore have NO need for a contact lens in order to read...as I repeatedly told her during the 5 minutes she saw me. Dr. O'Brien VERY rudely and repeatedly insisted that I presently used a correction for reading in one eye and the other for distance. She needs to read patient's files. Her staff were excellent. She was NOT

Dr Obrien is an excellent person who care about her clients, and their needs.

I have been going to her for over 10 years. She told me everything that I had with my eyes. I had an eye infection once, and I went to a different doctor and he told me it was conjunctivitis, and after a week of treatment it didn't go away. I went to her and she told me what it was and gave me a prescription for it. A week later it went away for good.
