Dr. Marque A Allen, MD

Dr. Allen and his entire team were fantastic. I had a break in my ankle, Dr. Allen did a fantastic job on my surgery! It was a major surgery and Dr. Allen performed it incredibly. From the pre-op appointments, to the last follow-up, Dr. Allen and his team treated me like an actual person- not just a patient. They care about the person as a whole. Very impressed.

My child had a surgery done by him a few years back. At first it seems that the surgery turn out to be a success but with a year that problem reoccur. We set a date up for another surgery by the time we knew it, another year has gone by because of his scheduling conflicts it turn out two years. Than at the last surgery appt. it was cancel again by his office. They would call us for rescheduling I waited and waited, I kept calling and calling. Than I was told he wasn't going to perform the procedure after all, mean while, my child is still in pain. So than I have to find a DMP on my own that will fix another dr surgery. He knew my child situation and it makes me so upset that he didn't have the professionalism to call me and explain to me why he couldn't do the surgery. This makes me think that he made a mistake and the surgery didn't turn out like he expected. I am so upset still to this day because my child will need surgery again and the timing is not a great one, when this could… have been taken care of a year ago. For this reason alone I would not recommend him.

While Dr. Allen is a kind doctor with great bedside manner, he and his staff are inefficient at their job.. being to treat an injury. His staff mixed my file up with my moms file (also a patient but very different name and injury). I was treated for an injury I didn’t sustain despite trying to clarify the mix up multiple times with multiple staff members and being told “ it was a general classification for coding purposes”. I received 5 x rays I was later told I never needed. I had asked how my X-ray looked every appointment and was told it looked fine until it was finally revealed they were al unnecessary for my type of injury. Dr Allen recommended putting me on steroids “again” despite me disclosing he had never put me on steroids. Told me he would put me in a walking boot despite him already doing that. Received MANY conflicting things from him about my condition and recovery. He contradicted himself at nearly every appointment. He doesn’t seem to read files or evaluate an injury… prior to going in the room and wings it while he’s in there. When I asked his advice he didn’t give it, just stated it’s based on “how I feel”. Never actually received a medical opinion or treatment plan. While he and his staff are very polite, he seemed very uninterested in my condition or treating me. Just another patient just another dollar. Do not recommend.

My son had severe flat feet and Dr. Allen fixed each foot as two separate surgeries. I was so apprehensive about my son having foot surgery but he was in so much pain. Dr. Allen was amazing. Spent time to explain to my son and I exactly what to expect. His recovery has been miraculous. No issues. Both feet are now beautiful and he is no longer in pain. Dr. Allen is so gifted and I would recommend him with no reservations.
