Dr. Marsha Kathleen Guess, MD

I have had 2 visits. Both resulted in her preconceived assessment in line with her expertise, not addressing the patient's symptoms nor treating the patient as an individual or with respect. She is not effective at listening or going outside her box of particular specialization. If you have a pelvic disorder she is effective, but if you do not, then do not expect further assessment of your condition. I will not return and am very disappointed with the outcomes of the appointments.

Dr. Guess is obviously extremely experienced in dealing with pelvic organ prolapse, a condition that is very difficult for most women to confront. Her approach is the perfect blend of directness and empathy. Her calendar is quite full, so it may take several weeks to get your first appointment. But she's excellent, so worth the wait.

I had a very bad experience. I would not suggest her.

My initial visit with Dr Marsha Guess at Yale was impressive: virtually no waiting time; a well-organized, friendly (but respectful) team. She and all her staff are patient-focused and clearly competent. All my questions were answered and I never felt rushed. Dr Guess inspires trust and confidence; she makes you feel comfortable in what could otherwise be awkward and challenging circumstances. She is in no rush to do surgery and respects non-invasive / alternative treatment modalities.

Dr. Guess, is an excellent doctor overall. Her receptionsist and staff are friendly and talk to you and encourage and keep you on track and concerned.
