Dr. Marsha Lynn Norris, MD

Dr Norris was the pediatrician at Commujity North this past week when our daughter was born. We shared that our past two children both were jaundice and had to be re admitted after we left the hospital. We also recommended that she recheck the bilirubin levels after discontinuing phototherapy and before sending us home. She was a very poor listener and discounted our input. She sent us home and we were back in the hospital the next day with a 7 point increase in bilirubin levels and she KNEW my wife and baby had ABO incompatibility which contributes to the problem. In addition, we asked if we could do a recheck of the bilirubin levels at the hospital and she told the nurse that no we had to go to her office or go to our primary care physician. We did go to our doctor who said it was just fine to have the test at the hospital. I would never chose to see this doctor again! Very frustrated that she doesn't take patients input. This doctor didn't ask about breast feeding or how… formula would impact it, she didn't respond meaningfully and didn't appear to acknowledge our concerns. Several times she interrupted our questions, just to answer the wrong question. Other patients beware!

Dr. Norris has been our pediatrician for over 10 years and I don't believe I have ever seen her without a pleasant look on her face. I can't imagine what it must be like, having to constantly deal with whining kids and moaning parents. She consistently demonstrates her sincere love for children through her patience and her thoughtful and open advice and care. We certainly wish that this kind of friendly service and positive attitude were something that we could expect from others in Dr. Norris' profession. But alas, no....
