Dr. Marsha Dorothy Rosenberg, MD

Well Diana, I have to say that I have lived off and on since the early 90s homeless. I have lived in my car, slept on people’s floors, or their couches. I even lived in a friend’s studio on the floor with mice racing around me. I had pet parrots with me. Dr Rosenberg operates from a position that she “knows better “. You can tell her the situation, but she knows better. She discounts you and then fails to provide any support with where you are coming from. She discounts it and says “that’s what you are used to “. I spent one hundred thousand dollars of my own money seeing her. Reality is that she NEVER takes responsibility for her own actions. She comes up with reasons as to why you’re a “f*ck up”. But none of that ever came up in therapy. Take caution. Based on your post, you are already sucked into the therapy process. I’m 68 years old living on social security. She lives in a five story upper east side town house. She has no clue about anyone that lives beneath her means. She is… from Belleville, NJ. She is “faking it out”.

It is very unfortunate the woman under my review had such a negative experience with Dr. Rosenberg. My experience with Dr. Rosenberg has been the opposite. I have had quite a few tragedies in my life, and Dr. Rosenberg has carried me thorough. And I’m speaking about PAIN! Loss of a 23 year career. Dr. Rosenberg has texted me to see how I am doing. Many times. She is compassionate and caring. Dr. Rosenberg is professional. My experience with Dr. Rosenberg has been excellent. I cannot say enough about her. Go and see for yourself!

Do not go to Dr Rosenberg. She is completely out of touch with anyone middle class income wise. One of her final comments was, “you act like there is no safety net”. That’s right because there isn’t any. I listened to her and lost everything as a result. I didn’t listen to myself. When I did listen to myself, I would present anxiety about the direction that she was pushing me in. Her solution, adjust my meds and I was then totally compliant. I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in crazy NY real estate ventures. I was flat broke. In the end I told her about my situation. She got up from her fancy designer chair, went over to her antique bureau and walked back to hand me something. “Here, I can help you with this”. It was sample packs of Prozac. The woman doesn’t have a clue. I walked out. I talked to her on the phone at a later time. She cried a little bit. There was never going to be a refund. She probably sweated the Statute of Limitations.. It passed. I didn’t sue. But I wish that… I had.

Dr. Rosenberg is a wonderful psychiatrist. I am extremely impressed with her wisdom, insight and knowledge. She is an expert when it comes to medications and medicine in general. She is so understanding and empathetic. I have recommended her to a couple of my friends who she has also helped.

Interesting how Dr. Rosenberg claims that the prior patient's complaints about her unprofessional and abusive conduct were unfounded and that she does not know to what the patient is referring but is aware of the patient's gender without any name attached to the negative review. I think I smell a rat...Check other sites for reviews, another prior patient claimed that this provider caused him or her permanent harm, and this is the opinion of another therapist. This misconduct is not an isolated incident.

Time to retire for Dr. Rosenberg. Finally changed therapists after much too much time giving this woman too many chances. Got the diagnosis wrong, behind on cutting edge research, could not send a proper bill, no back up doctor when gone for three months! Does not respond to emergency phone calls, check her messages (message machine was full so could not leave one) and shouted at me, blaming me when I was in the excruciating experience of trying to extricate myself from an abusive relationship, a man she told me to stick with when my intuition told me to run. I can't believe I ever trusted her. I get it, therapists are not oracles, but this woman was wrong almost every time! My new provider is a dream, I am so glad to be rid of this woman, her advice was disastrous and led me to harm. Stay away, you are better off speaking to friends than this, "professional." Extremely incompetent.
