Dr. Marsha Jean Smith, MD

Saw this physician back in May 2022. She seemed totally disinterested in my medical issues that brought me there, was condescending, and zero bedside manner. Turnaround time is unacceptable for online questions (a few days). I’m a nurse, and have worked in a specialist office. This would’ve never happened there. The physicians were professional and responded in a reasonable time frame.

I was diagnosed with encephalomalacia of the brain in 2008 due to a tbi in 2003. it was not there in previous MRis. I was told by my previous neurologist who has since retired that it is also known as softening of the brain and is degenerative. Dr Marsha Smith has told me TWICE it is nothing but scar tissue. If that was the case it would say scar tissue in the MRI and not encephalomalacia and my other neurologist cannot be wrong. I have done my own extensive research on this terrible disease and it is NOT scar tissue. There is no treatment or cure only managment of symptoms. Both visits with her got me no help as she did NOTHING for me. i will be filing a formal complaint and possibly seeking the help of an attorney as she refused to do anything for me. I will NOT be returning to see her. she should NOT be a doctor as she is misdiagnosing.
