Zero stars. He was totally incompetent treating my humerus break. Refused to see me after 3 weeks of excruciating pain in a cast with no healing whatsoever. I got two second opinions and both surgeons agreed I should have had surgery immediately which is what I was told in the ER the night of my accident. He came in 16 hours later and said I didn’t need surgery, “The ER doctors are not orthopedists and don’t know what they’re talking about”. He was very arrogant and disrespectful. I’ve had two surgeries since and my arm is still not healing because the bones were disjoined for three weeks.

Overall bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. I got the impression that he believed himself to be God's gift to the world of medicine. Very abrupt at times and always in a hurry. Never went back for followup visit. Better choices in Albuquerque.

I love dr baca and his office. He's the only one I trust to do surgery on me. I had acl surgery by him.

I brought my child in for an appointment which took a week to get after she had been diagnosed with a break at the ER and left castless till the Dr. could see her. We were left in an exam room for over an hour. The nurse finally came in and said she was sorry but the Doctor had an appointment and would have to reschedule. As I came out I saw the doctor getting ready to leave for lunch with a drug rep. Horrible lack of care and treatment of patients.

Dr. Baca is an excellent orthopedic doctor. I have horrible knees and he is the first doctor to help me with them. When I first went to him, I could barely walk. That was 3 years ago. I will need knee surgery, but for right now, I can wait because I can walk with hardly any pain. He has a wonderful bedside manner, he cares about his patients. He is moving to Artesia and I WILL FOLLOW!!!!!
