Instantly put me at ease, explained everything and answered my many questions patiently. Very skilled and excellent ethics. I got instant relief from a pinched nerve and healed nicely. He checked on me often and kept in close contact with the staff also made sure I was kept comfortable. Made sure I felt comfortable going home before he released me. Great sense of humor, but still very professional. I’ve seen other Neurosurgeons when I moved to Indy, none came close to Dr Poor. Much respect and gratitude for Dr Poor, one in a million to say the least.

I was in a horrible car accident broke my back in 2 diffrent spots and fractured it multiple times. Before my surgery i was what he said temporarily pearlized. After my surgery i learned how to walk agian and months later play with my son. My back still gives me trouble pain every now and agian . But if it wasn't for this man I would probably never walked agian for played with my children. Thank u so much

Bloomington is really blessed to have such a fine surgeon as him! he not only is a great doc but is a down to earth nice man and he listens carefully to what you say. He also does not push surgery on you and will try other things first. I cannot say enough for the man.

Dr. Poor and his staff was one i find to be of the upmost compassionate, caring, professional, and offered much time to explain what my problem was aswell what directions to take to best fit me needs.

Was so polite, encouraging, and explained everything using my xrays and diagrams. Very positive and perfectionism is another one of his traits. His office staff was also happy and kind. Will do anything they can to get u through a hard time. I would not hesitate to go back to him!!!

Dr. Poor fixed my neck twice and my back once. My Dad is an old doctor, and Dr Poor is from that school. Calm, great listener, matter of fact, encouraging, does great work, and quite funny. He also told me I didn't need surgery once, and he was right. A bad pain that was persistent wound up resolving itself as he said it would. He has fixed several friends of mine who all speak highly of him.

Dr. Poor was very quick and accurate in his diagnosis of my daughter's tumor. He removed the tumor within days of their first appointment. He has also helped her with other neurological conditions and was very quick to schedule procedures as needed. He is very compassionate and caring. Great sense of humor and very likable. I would recommend him highly and feel blessed to have him as her neurosurgeon.
