Dr. Marshall Lee Teitelbaum, MD

Beware of the uncaring and uncompassionate nature of Dr. Teitelbaum's office manager. I see others have commented on the poor way his office is managed and I concur. My 14 yr old daughter had an appointment we had scheduled 2 months prior cancelled the day before it was to occur. I apparently missed responding "C" to their text message. The next text I received from the office stated the appt time and link for the appt. so it showed me no issues with the expectation my daughter would be seen. I received a call the day before and just missed answering it. I called right back and learned that the appointment was cancelled. I was appalled that because I missed to sending a "C" my daughter's appt would be taken out from under us. No business should be run like this, especially not a psychiatric office that deals with vulnerable people. The office manager, Laural (apparently the MD's wife) admitted it was a miscommunication yet she was devoid of emotion stating. "nothing could be done". … Unsat

Teitelbaum is an excellent doctor. He’s kind and compassionate, but he is terrible at hiring people for the front desk. If you call it always goes straight to voicemail and when they call you back, it’s always at the end of the day so you can’t get back to them until the next day. If you fax, same deal. The secretary can’t answer basic questions and doesn’t get back to you. If there’s a mistake, it’s your fault for some reason, as if you’re supposed to show her how to do her job. Immediately thinks you know what is going on and speaks to you as if your 3 years old. Her alone makes me want to leave the practice after a bunch of years. Oh and you can’t even tell teitelbaum this because she is the gatekeeper and won’t let you talk to him without her permission.

I have been seeing Dr. Teitelbaum for over 10 years. There is no one else I would recommend for psychiatric care. He has the most compassion I have ever seen and he is one of the most genuine individuals I have ever gotten the pleasure to know and experience. He truly cares about his patients, displays insurmountable empathy, and goes above and beyond with patient care. I have never had a negative experience from the office in the many years I have been seeing him. Do not let the negative reviews deter you from seeking his services. I truly believe that he is the most knowledgeable, professional, caring, and overall amazing physician in this area for his speciality.

I had been seeing Marshall for 4 years. I arrived at my appointment this week 7 minutes late due to traffic. Upon arrival I sat down and I heard the receptionist yelling from the back office, "Can I help you." I told her my name and she responded, "Your late he has moved on." I said its 7 minutes. They could have easily shortened my session, I was out of medication. But no she repeated, "He has moved on." And with no one else waiting or in the office my appointment was canceled. The woman at the front desk is rude and for a Doctor to be vindictive over 7 minutes is unreal. Marshall you could use a lesson in compassion. What a small man.

Will not tell you if your medication has bad interactions with other meds he’s perscribed. Had to rely on the pharmacists to warn of the interactions. Can’t speak directly with doctor either when you call. Secretary only gets back at the end of the day and maybe not at all. If it’s an emergency, can’t rely on them. When pharmacy calls to refill a prescription; the office doesn’t get back to them.

I am very pleased to have found this doctor after years of trying other psychiatrists. He knows what he's doing, really cares, and knows who I am when I come to appointments.

My child had problems for years, other doctors said they were issues she would outgrow, and issues got worse every year. Dr. T. met with us, explained what he thought was going on and would likely work, began treatment conservatively, and she and our whole family have lives again. We are so thankful.

I have suffered form major depression for for 11 years. I have been suicidal, committed to psychiatric hospitals and had six months of ECT treatments. Its been a long road with many doctors and many prescriptions. A well trusted therapist put me in contact with Dr. Teitelbaum and through his care and guidance I have been able to find the healing I never thought possible. He is kind, knowledgeable and willing works with any other doctor may have . I trust him completely with my care. The only drawback is that he did not take my insurance. However; the cost of hospitalizations, alternative therapies, ECT, ect. was far more expensive. I am so happy to have him as my doctor.

Dr. T. is very thorough, and we are very pleased.

Dr. Teitelbaum is a kind and caring professional. I would recommend him to anyone seeking psychiatric treatment. He has been extremely helpful, and accommodating.
