In Feb, 2019, I made a visit to Dr. Michelle Barlow regarding severe low back pain. One visit to this pathetic excuse of a doctor was the only time I have ever seen her. She did a fair exam of me and she ordered the blood work that I myself requested done. She ask me if I wanted to have a mammogram done, and I refused because I am not able to run around having tests done, and I was in need of help with my lower back pain, not my breasts. And my refusal made her angry. I have never been contacted by Barlow' s office regarding the blood work; no follow up was done. My husband picked up the lab results from medical records for me, and several of the results were flagged, such as high cholesterol, high bromide; several flags, yet Barlow's office chose to not follow up, even when my… husband ask if there needed to be a follow up on lab results. Barlow did refer me to a Dr. Frank Hux in MWC for the severe back pain. He is also part of the Alliance group. And another MRI was ordered by Hux, which shows numerous issues causing my pain, a severe impingement of lower back. I visited Frank Hux, found him to be arrogant and impatient, and in a hurry to do surgery. He has a 2 and 3 rating, and the MWC hospital that he uses has a D rating. I felt like I needed a second opinion, and ask Barlow's office to refer me to a neurologist at Integris. Referral was finally made after numerous calls and visits to the office by my husband. And the following is a quote sent to the doctor at Integris by Dr. M. Michelle Barlow, DO: "please contact me before scheduling care or procedures for this patient outside the Alliance Health Oklahoma System. As you know, I choose to practice within an organized health care arrngement. I do so because I believe the system's operational integration and care coordination benefit my patients, and I've discussed this benefit with my patient. The AllianceHelth Oklahoma System in which I particiate inludes Midwest, Durant, Madil, Seminole, Clinton, Woodward, and Ponca City. Please send any available consult notes to our office once patient is seen. Thank you." end of Barlow' statement. For one, I have only seen Barlow one time, and ask her by phone to make referral to Integris for me. One visit to Barlow, and she claims me as her own. And for another thing, the statement she made about discussing with me about system's operational system benefiting me, the patient, is an outright, bald faced lie. M. Michelle Barlow has no ethics. Sorriest, most unethical exuse for a doctor I have ever seen. I would not recommend her to take care of a cow.
