She treated my daughter's acne problems. She is sharp and warm at the same time. We love her!

Dr Funkhouser repeatedly interrupted me while I attempted to answer her questions to give orders to her nurse. When she repeated what I had said back to me, it was incorrect. Her discharge instructions were confusing and contradictory.

This is my first review ever, but I felt the need to share my terrible experience with everyone. I had a horrible experience with Princeton Dermatology (Pennington Office). I arrived on time for my appointment and after checking in, I sat down in the waiting room. I was the only one in the waiting room during this time. After being ignored by the receptionist for nearly an hour, I finally spoke up about the wait. The receptionist was rude and showed no concern at all. Basically, she told me that's too bad and to take it up with the head doctor. What is the point of having an appointment if the time is not honored? Finally, I was called back to the examination room and waited another 25 minutes before seeing the doctor (1.5 hours past my appointment time). Was on time at my appointment but waited in the waiting room for over an hour until someone finally called me back. When I actually got to see the doctor (which was less than 10 minutes of time), it was a complete waste.… I had come in for a suspicious mark on my body (mole, cyst, I don't know!?), but apparently the doctor couldn't tell me what it was. Seriously? You specialize in skin and you shrug your shoulders? I was told to come back in a few months to see if anything changed, yea right, never again with this office or doctor. I was also given some over the counter creams for some skin irritation I had. I recently gave birth and am breast-feeding so asked if this is safe to use while breast-feeding. The doctor told me she didn't know and to 'Google it'. What a joke! This doctor is useless and even downright dangerous, giving a patient a treatment and telling them to figure it out on their own if it is safe! Save your time and money, apparently you can treat yourself better with Google then going to Princeton Dermatology!

Dr Martha Funkhouser is a blessing, Her Assistant Sonia and her entire staff are the best medical professionals you can encounter. Intelligent, compassionate and concerned- they are a rare blessing after a long list of physicians who dont care a bit. Look no further- they are the best of the best.Sonia is amazing too and if all medical care was like this we wouldnt be suffering.

This listing is incorrect. The practice is in Princeton, but this doctor is located else ware. Seems to be a theme on this site. I gave a 3, just because you have to give something and the other reviews of her seemed to be stellar

Over the past few years I have bounced around from dermatologist to dermatologist because of a medical condition that flares and is difficult to control. Unfortunately I never found a doctor who was willing to seriously listen to my health concerns, ask relevant questions about my medical history or follow up with my PCP and / or other specialists. Instead, these other doctors tried to sell me their products and services. Then, at last, I was referred to Dr Funkhouser. She is NOT AT ALL like these other doctors. She is sensitive, thoughtful and seems genuinely happy to see me when I arrive for an appointment (regardless of how busy she might be). I've never felt rushed nor have I ever questioned her judgment. She is just terrific. You will not be disappointed!

Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect especially since my experience with other area dermatologists wasn't terrific. Happily, I found that Dr Funkhouser was everything that I had hoped for -- she is thorough, kind and very good about her follow up. Unlike some other professionals in the area, she never tried to sell me "the product of the day" but instead, she asked excllent questions and listened carefully to my medical history. She is a keeper!

Dr. Funkhouser is a compassionate and caring doctor. She takes the time to answer any questions you may have. She provides gentle care while still emphasizing good habits. I highly recommend her!

I was so happy to have found an dermatolgist who is attentive and nice. Strong family hx. of melanoma. This is the first dermatologist who gave me a thorough exam to check my skin type. She was so approachable and caringand knowledgeable.Would highly recommend this MD.

Shis a very thorough with both histories and exams. Her professional judgement is her knowledge and skills in her speciality.
