Dr. Martha Elva Hierro, MD

I wrote a review on hiero many years ago. She was very nasty to me and negligent. I recently learned she was put on probation for many reasons. This explains a lot and all of what she did to me. Be careful if you are seeing her. According to the case filed against her by the medical board, she was abusing drugs and alcohol and she lied to the investigators. You can google her and read about fhe findings.

DR Hierro is for me the best doctor in all aspects that My family and myself encounter on our lives. She was my mum's doctor for long time and my sister and myself we also had been seeing by her. We were all amazed of her dedication to her patients, extra time to talk to you and see how you were doing like a whole human being. We also had fronds that had been seeing her for a lot of years.Also pattens waiting for her in the chem in room talking about her great dedication. So happy to finally found a great doctor.Thanks Martha for all your great work.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hierro’s for over 20 years and had many colonoscopy and other procedures with her. She was always professional, thorough and compassionate in my care.

I've seen Doctor Hierro for 10 years and she has been amazingly thorough and empathetic. Dr. Martyak and Dr. Bedford are trash. One diagnosed me with pre-cancer and Cedar Sinai was able to do a more professional evaluation and determine that not to be so (malpractice much??) . When I first came in with a fever and chills Dr. Bedford sent me out the door with Fiber and said I had IBS. Neither had any bedside manner and both inaccurately diagnosed me. Unfortunately Dr. Hierro has been out on leave many times in the last 5 years so I cannot rely on her for consistent care any more which i heartbreaking for me as she is the superstar in that practice. The front desk people are great, but Gabby the 'RN' and the new front office manager are completely inept and rude with no goal of actually solving problems. They are just there to collect a check.

As a physician myself, I choose my own doctors carefully. I have been to Dr. Hierro several times. Courteous, friendly, professional. One of the best.

Arrogant and negligent. ZERO follow up. Zero. Goes off bloodwork, ignoring clinical significance of symptoms within a human. You'll be stage 4 before she gives a hoot, if ever. Worst doctor I've had the misfortune of experiencing.

I have been a patient of dr.hierros for many years. She is the one of the most knowledgeable and compassionate doctors in the field . You cannot find a better doctor. Dedicated and smart.

Terrible doctor who has no clinical insticts of value, and goes solely off bloodwork. Zero follow up. You'll be sick and dead before she takes notice and you get a diagnosis. Ridiculous. Also you'll wait for over an hour. Easily. And the office staff, in general, is incompetent. AVOID.

Dr Hierro is everything I though I could never have with a doctor.CaringConfidentKnowledgeable Outstanding bedside mannerApproaches care holistically - not just prescribing drugs. She looks at the general well being of the patient. How is stress, work, relationships, are you resting enough, eating well etc. She creates action plans for long term care (referring to chronic illness). She takes time to explain plan A, then depending on your wellness, Plan B, Plan C. etc. This gives me as a patient a sense of trust and confidence that my disease is being taken care of. I am the healthiest I have ever been after 20 years with a chronic disease. I was sorry to have left California and the care that I have received from Dr Hierro for the past 10 years.

Both my husband and I had very long waiting times (45 min to 3 hours), and even though Dr. Hierro has excellent bedside manners, she apparently consistently overbooks. Her follow-up is basically non-existent, and we are both extremely dissatisfied with her as a physician.
