I tried to get my son accepted as a new patient this morning. My son has serious breathing problems and lost his insurance last year when laid off from his job and has no medication upcoming allergy season. The receptionist stated they didn't take cash and my son needed a insurance card to schedule an appointment. She wanted to know if he was in the health care exchange but the exchange messed up his application and froze him out of the exchange My son just got his first paycheck from his new job and was in the process applying to Independent health for insurance, the women could care less he didn't have any medication for his serious health condition and was only concerned with getting paid instead of caring about patient that would have had the insurance ID from Independent health today. She hung up on me when I was trying to tell her he would have the ID by Monday. I am filing a complaint on the Better business bureau. web site and putting this on my social media account so… others know that this office doesn't care about anything but money and not the well being or health of their patients
