Dr. Martin Lewis Gelman, MD

The Care at Dr. Gelman's office is exceptional. Dr. Gelman takes all the time you need. He listens and is very caring. I cannot put a price tag on this. I always feel welcome at the office and I love Dr. Gelman's staff. The best.

I'm posting for my husband since he is so ill that he can barely sit up let alone type a review of this charleton and his staff. If I could give this poor excuse for a doctor no stars I would! My husband has been suffering for 2 months with a medical condition. He dropped almost 25 lbs and had no energy. He was able to see Gelman for blood tests. (miraculously...because as the secretary said, "he's very busy") Gelman said nothing about his weight loss and took a cellphone call for a good part of the appointment. About a month later, he ended up in the emergency room and having emergency surgery. The doctors told him to follow up with his primary care doctor. He tried to schedule an appointment with Gelman but the gatekeepers at the front desk said the earliest he could be seen was 3 weeks! Even after the emergency surgery, ,3 return trips to the ER and sudden, unexplained weight loss. Instead they dumped him off on one of his useless nurse practitioners. Surprised they didn't tell… him to go the minute clinic (that happens quite often)! When I called to complain about the inadequate care that he was receiving (granted I was yelling a lot.. and rightfully so) I was told to " find another doctor then!" I have never yelled like that and never left a scathing review like this but people need to know this man cares nothing about his patients! If you're smart and value your health, streer clear of Martin Gelman! And I find it hilarious that anyone gave this faux doctor 5 stars. I'm guessing all of them are being posted by his staff because no one in their right mind would I've him 1 star! I've been with him for over three years now, and I always feel like it is my first visit. He never cares to what I have to say. He basically dismisses me as being over-weight. His meds he prescribes has put on tons of extra weight, after getting a second opinion. I came to him for help and I leave depressed. I do love his staff. They are all very kind to me.

Dr. Gelman is a caring and compassionate primary care provider who takes whatever amount of time is needed to talk with me and explain available options for my medical condition. He is the best Primary Care Physician I have had in my 60 years and would highly recommend him to anyone in this area.

If Obama Care is to work it should police the medical profession. His office is mismanaged and he has no respect for peoples time. Months ago I had a noon appointment and I'm waiting well past when I noticed he was having his lunch, on my time. I made a stink and immediately was seen by his nurse practitioner. Today my wife went there only to treated like garbage by this woman
