Dr. Martin Lee Greene, MD

I was a patient, as was my husband. My husband suffered from Substance Abuse Disorder. I guided him to Dr. Greene on the advice of another doctor. It was the worst mistake of my life. He treated my husband with disdain, he clearly did not like my participation, he blamed me for my husband's disease, he doesn't understand that addiction is a brain disorder, he didn't put my husband on a transplant list, my husband died under his non-care in large part because of his inability to recognize that part of my husband's problem was with his brain...a good doctor would have recommended someone for addiction therapy. When my husband passed there was zero acknowledgement. He is a vile, cruel waste of a person and if you put your or your loved one's life in his hands, you may pay the ultimate price.

People are complaining about how this doctor is not compassionate, but just dig a little, and you'll find out why. Let's just say he probably cares more about the color green than anyone else. Wake up people, see who's "healing" you.

Dr Greene has been my physician for over 30 years. Over that period he has helped me my rather "checkered" health history with "day to day" issues and with emergency situations. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated. I am grateful for his care.

When I had insurance Dr. Greene and I had a good relationship. When I lost my insurance I couldn't get his assistant to return my calls. I showed up for an appt (at Dr. Greene's invitation) w/charity care pending and was turned away at the front desk because I didn't have $100 for self pay. It was humiliating and I was very sick. I suggest the office staff spend some time at Harborview for sensitivity training. Their private insurance bubble is going to burst.

I had an appointment with Dr. Greene. He wouldn't answer questions about my case and instead wanted to review my test and call me back in a week. Two weeks later he never called me back. I called his office and his assistance said she would call me the following day with next steps. I'm still waiting on that call. My experience with Dr. Greene is he is unreliable and if you have a unusual or difficult case he ignores you.
