Hurtado is a kind and professional Doctor. Very warm in fact. It's his staff that is driving his business away. I had the misfortune of dealing with a young man calling himself Jesse. Billing was very high but he wouldn't explain why. He quickly became very rude and dismissive. We won't go back. I pray Dr. Hurtado realizes he is losing patients due to this weasel.

My only real beef is Hurtados billing. Inkwell medical billed me $357 for a 15 min office visit. I called and was told that I was charged the NEW patient fee since its been almost 5 years since I had been in. What??? This is shady as all get out but still I called 10 other doctors office in the same city for an office visit charge. 9 of 10 were in the $90-$140 range. New visits were about $175. I was billed $357 by a doctor I have seen 5 or 6 times. Wow

Dr. Hurtado happens to be one of the few primary care physicians that I really like and respect. He isn't the kind of person to say "Oh I am so sorry you aren't feeling well", but he always works very hard to diagnose medical issues as they arise. He doesn't rush to prescribe medication, but does so when it is necessary. He always suggests eating healthy and losing weight, but is never rude or pushy about it. I was so sad to have to change primary care physicians when my schedule changed, and it definitely made me realize how lucky all of his patients are. I recommend Dr. Hurtado to all of my friends.

I have been seeing Dr.Hurtado for the last 3 years. A friend recommended him and I would have to say that overall I am satisfied. I would like to point out that he has opened his own clinic (which has definitely been a positive thing). It's fairly easy to make an appointment with him (usually he has openings within the next few days), the wait time isn't very long, and he pays attention to what you are saying. I do however have a few complaints. First off I feel that he is a great doctor, however only for general concerns ( yearly physical, flus, colds, etc). Whenever a more serious or chronic condition arises it's definitely best to try and see someone who will be more able and willing to help you. Second, I sometimes feel as if his staff, and even Dr.Hurtado himself, don't take me seriously. I have had a few instances when my calls weren't returned. I am by no means a pestering client, but I do want to have my questions answered in a timely fashion. Overall, aside from the… few complaints, I would say he is a great primary care physician, he dedicates time to each appointment, he doesn't rush you, he listens, and he cares. Him opening up his own clinic was the best move he could have made!

Dr. Hurtado is the best Doctor I have ever known, not to mention the most caring. He has taken care of me and my wife for about 4 years and woul not change for anything.

upon first visiting dr. hurtado i would have rated him excellent in all categories. but just like with every dr i have seen, as time went by and he was unable to figure out what is wrong with me he became cold, and unwilling to even care for me at all anymore, that is if i could even get a hold of him. he left me in a perpetual state of pain and suffering without so much as an explanation. if your not sick, then he is the dr. for you, but i you are severely ill like me then i suggest you run in the other direction or you will be left feeling hurt. abandoned, and no closer to being healthy.
