I was recently on my way home from a vacation when I became violently ill. I fortunately was in the Destin area and found Sacred Heart Hospital. Dr. Martin Landa, an emergency room doctor, was a Godsend. He was sharp, professional, patient and kind, a rare combination (in my humble experience) in emergency rooms these days. He was able to readily address my symptoms, bring me great relief, and get me back on the road. If you find yourself ill and in Destin, you will be well-cared for if Dr. Landa is on duty! Thank you, Dr. Landa!

I was recently on vacation in Florida and had to go into the emergency room. Dr. Landa was the Doctor on call that looked after me. He was very caring and took the time to explain things to me. It is good to have such a great Doctor when far away from home.

My family member had the unfortunate luck of being assigned to Dr Landa while in the ER at Sacred Heart. He was absolutely the most unprofessional medical professional I’ve ever encountered. He was rude, pompous, arrogant, and displayed complete lack of empathy for his patient. I’m appalled he is allowed to hold a medical license to treat people. He has obviously forgotten the practice of beneficence and unfortunately his patients pay the price. I would give zero stars if possible.

Very poor bedside manners. Does not take time to listen to patient. Looks at test and sends you home even if symptoms still prosist.
