Dr. Makowski was born in Hamtramck, Michigan. He studied pre-dentistry at Wayne State University before receiving his D.D.S. from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1980. At graduation, he was nominated for the National Honorary Dental Society and awarded the Dean's Key.
He continued his studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He was also an Associate Professor at the Washington University School of Dental Medicine and Lecturer and Clinical Instructor at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Dr. Makowski joined the group practice in 1987. He is currently on staff at Children's Hospital and serves as Associate Director for Graduate Programs.
In addition to his many accomplishments, Dr. Makowski has presented scientific exhibits at National Pediatric Dentistry meetings and published definitive articles in national dental journals. Dr. Makowski …is certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is active in major pediatric dental societies, and serves as Chairperson for the Macomb County Dental Society's Committee on Dental Health.
